We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The atmosphere was lively, with a concert happening when we arrived. The staff gave us a warm and friendly welcome. The breakfast was exceptional, with delicious typical dishes. The rooms were well insulated and isolated from the bar, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The location of the hotel was perfect for exploring the city, and we were able to conveniently leave our luggage.

Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like.

The girl who greeted us when we arrived was very nice, friendly and efficient. She had our room for us very quickly. I had requested a twin room and the room had a double and single bed.. Perfect! The room was basic enough but clean and had everything that you need. Tea and coffee etc. a large bathroom with bath/shower and toiletries and the water was piping hot. We had a bar snack before getting the luas into O.Connell st (a 2 minute walk to the stop) the food was gook and the breakfast excellent, We were attending a gig in Vicar st and as the hotel is only a short walk from here it really suited.. I will stay here again especially if I am going to a gig there.

There was a function on in the lounge when we returned to the hotel about 1.30am. It was packed with people and the band continued for another hour, It didnt bother us.. We joined them, but may have bothered some people who simply wished for bed

Great to be within easy walking distance to Temple Bar and shopping areas, buses. Liked being able to walk downstairs at night after a busy day of sight seeing and sit in the bar and listen to music and visit with local folks.

The hotel is conveniently located close to the city center and offers easy access to various tourist attractions. It is opposite the oldest pub in town and provides a traditional, cozy atmosphere. the rooms are basic but warm and comfortable, with amenities like free tea and coffee, a hairdryer, and fresh towels. the staff is helpful and friendly, assisting with directions and providing good value for money. the bar downstairs features live music, adding to the ambiance of the place.

Some guests mentioned that the music from the bar could be a bit loud, which could disrupt sleep for some individuals.

We liked the way we could have our breakfast till midday, most hotels stop serving at 10am or 11am.

The loud noise coming from our bathroom something to do with the water I think. And the waitresses/hostess wernt poilite or friendly.

We had a wonderful time at O'Sheas Merchant. Ideal base for a shopping spree in Dublin city centre. Very confortable bedrooms. Had a lovely meal in the bar. Great place to go if you are a lover of music and dancing. Also sport - especially G.A.A. We will definately be back.

I recently had a wonderful stay at this hotel which is conveniently located close to the city center. It's close enough to easily access all the attractions, yet far enough to ensure a peaceful and quiet environment.

All was satisfactory, no improvements necessary.

It's excellent location, within walking distance of most attractions and the price, including a full breakfast, was very good value. The staff were friendly.

When the room was cleaned during our stay, a used coffee cup was not replaced and the bathroom bin was unemptied. The pillows remained ruffled. There is no reception area/desk and no room to store your bags if you arrive before check-in time or after check-out to pick them up later. Our room was on the streeet and was noisy from traffic, as the window had to remain opened due to lack of air-conditioning. These rooms are rooms above a pub which is fine by me but the added facilities outlined above would greatly enhance the experience.

The location of the hotel was very convenient as it was in the heart of the city. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating, making our stay very pleasant. We particularly enjoyed the live music performances at the hotel's bar and the tasty breakfast options.

The room was not as clean as we would have liked it to be, with some unappealing spots on the walls and ceiling. We also struggled with the poor wifi connection in our room, which made it difficult to stay connected with loved ones back home.

Room was reasonable. Included breakfast was very good. Location was great - near Temple Bar and Christ Church. Couldn't hear the late night music below.

Great location at this price. Authentic Irish Pub experience... Whch means it is noisy at night, but that's made very clear when you book- and just what we were looking for. Staff really helpful in sorting out the best room for my Dad to reduce the number of steps he had to climb. Breakfasts very good too.

This hotel offers great value for money, with affordable prices for a stay close to the city center. The staff is friendly and attentive, providing excellent service. The rooms are comfortable, with nice, comfy beds and a view of the river. Additionally, the included wifi is a bonus for staying connected.

Everything was just fine, no complaints.

    Fair location

Me and my friend spent one weekend at this hotel and wouldn t choose it again. Staff was unhelpful and grumpy all the time, check in was one hour late, hot and noisy room, fire alarm early sunday morning, poor breakfast and so on. The only good thing was its location within walking distance of downtown and airport bus. Would not recommend it to anyone.

The food was nice. Room was comfortable but very basic. Our room was away from the music so we were'nt disturbed too much by it.

Lots of pigeons outside our bedroom on ledges which may have accounted for the smell. Had to keep window closed. Furniture v old fashioned and in no way modern.
